the
indie-pendants : The All-Star Crew
In the early summer of 2004, VDE embarked onto their third feature film
production, THE INDIE PENDANT. At that particular time the crew consisted
of Kelly Schwarze, John Paul A. Franco, Edward Dentzel, David Torno, Charisma
Manulat, Jimmy Germano, John Baniqued, Kellie Kowalski, Roger Tinch, and
Craig Shima. With only a staff of 10, VDE
needed more people to produce the film. It was at that time that Production
Manager Charisma Manulat was assigned the task of locating interns, and/or
volunteers to help get the project off the ground. It wasn’t long
after, Ms Manulat’s visit to the University of Nevada Las Vegas
that she had enlisted 11 more people for the production, most of which
were film students. Since then the volunteer number has grown to 15, and
those individuals have become a leading variable in THE INDIE PENDANT’s
success.
“Hat’s off to Charisma Manulat and her intern
staff!”
