CREATING THE CREATIVE FORCES STUDIOS

Creative Forces Studios is the home of the famous Robert Wynn. Wynn is one of Hollywood’s most dynamic producers. His vast range of film projects include such marvels as the “Jungle Dave” series, the 1980’s smash hit “Brain Suckers”, and technical masterpiece “Many Tricks”.

Creative Force Studios has one of Hollywood’s most unique prop and special effects department. Headed by Frenchman Eugene Bijoux, Stage 12 is leading the pack in digital special effects. Bijoux was recruited to CSF after the first Brain Suckers film. Bijoux was faced with creating his workshop from scratch. His team was originally made of 50 college students from USC and UCLA.

Creating this monster of a Hollywood machine, the crew created several hilarious props for the set. The VDE art department created several movie posters to plaster around Wynn's office. Take a look at these great Hollywood rip off's.

Brain Suckers is based on the best selling novel, Invasion of Extraterrestrials in 1955. Robert Wynn took the concept and turned it into a cult classic. Creating the Brain Sucker was a challange. Props Department manager, Craig Shima, locked himself in the lab, only to come out when he produced a disgusting alien designed to suck your brain.

The Brain Sucker was constructed of a basketball, spray foam, electrical tape and some wires. It was then painted and "floated" on a four foot pole. Somtimes it was rigged to a pully system to give the Brain Sucker it's dynamic movement. With the right camera angle and perecise puppeteers, this monster sucked on many brains.
