Creating this monster of a Hollywood machine, the crew created several hilarious props for the set. The VDE art department created several movie posters to plaster around Wynn's office. Take a look at these great Hollywood rip off's.
Brain Suckers is based on the best selling novel, Invasion of Extraterrestrials in 1955. Robert Wynn took the concept and turned it into a cult classic. Creating the Brain Sucker was a challange. Props Department manager, Craig Shima, locked himself in the lab, only to come out when he produced a disgusting alien designed to suck your brain.
The Brain Sucker was constructed of a basketball, spray foam, electrical tape and some wires. It was then painted and "floated" on a four foot pole. Somtimes it was rigged to a pully system to give the Brain Sucker it's dynamic movement. With the right camera angle and perecise puppeteers, this monster sucked on many brains. There's More!
